Versión para imprimir
In Ivory Coas, pineapple is the 3rd most exported product by the fruit industry, after banana and mango. But in 2023, unfavourable weather conditions led to a reduction in pineapple production.

According to the Topric Fruits report issued by the FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Côte d'Ivoire exported just 23,557 tonnes of pineapple in 2023. This is 27% less than the 32,403 tonnes exported during the previous season, and 22% less than the average of 30,291 tonnes for the 2017-2021 period.

The main destination for Ivorian pineapples was the European Union, a market which, according to the report, recorded a drop in its pineapple imports to 761,661 tonnes in 2023, compared with 774,267 tonnes in 2022 and 913,611 tonnes over the 2017-2021 period.
